Charpy Impact Testing

Charpy V-notch (CVN Testing) is used to determine the impact properties of a particular material at a specific temperature. WJMG can conduct impact testing at temperatures ranging over 500 degrees Fahrenheit to negative 320 degrees Fahrenheit.

Testing for impact testing specification codes such as AWS D1.1, ASME Section IX, API 1104, API 5L. WJMG follows the guideline in welding code but also in the guidelines written in ASTM E23. Each year this machine is calibrated by NIST prepaid samples that provide a low, medium, and high range validation.
