Dr Jesse A Grantham

Welding & Metals Forensic Expert


Dr. Jesse A. Grantham is a forensic expert consultant specializing in welding, metallurgical, pipelines and structural metal failure analysis, code compliance and contract compliance, as well as workplace safety issues. He heads the forensic team at Welding & Joining Management Groupâ„¢ in Frederick, Colorado, as well as overseeing the testing, calibration and welder certification programs.

Dr. Grantham is a Professional Engineer in several states, as well as an active Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) by the American Welding Society (AWS), Certified Radiographic Interpreter (CRI) Certified Level III by the American Society of Nondestructive Testing (ASNT), Past Treasurer and Fellow of the National Academy of Forensic Engineers (NAFE). He has worked on hundreds of failure analysis cases throughout the USA.

Kyle Morehead

Vice President

Kyle Morehead serves as the Vice President of WJMG, bringing a wealth of expertise in welding inspection and non-destructive testing (NDT) to the organization. He holds prestigious certifications including AWS-CWI (#19070043) and AWS-CWE (#2209006), and he is a Certified Visual Welding Inspector. In his leadership role, Kyle oversees the comprehensive testing procedures for welds and metals within the WJMG laboratory, ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance are met.

Kyle is responsible for the accurate identification of metals, meticulous documentation, and photographic evidence collection. He ensures strict adherence to work instructions and expertly operates advanced testing instruments and shop machinery. Additionally, he plays a key role in the preparation and finalization of certification documents, contributing to the integrity and reputation of WJMG’s services.

Kyle’s academic background includes an Associate’s degree in Welding Technology and Engineering Technology from AIMS Community College, along with an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD). Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering at Colorado State University (CSU). His professional certifications extend to Certified (ASNT) Level II MT, PT, UT, VT, and PAUT, further solidifying his standing as a leader in the field.

Vicki Brigham

Office Manager

Vicki is Office Manager at WJMG. She handles all account correspondence and customer setup procedures. She is the first smiling face you’ll see when you visit our Frederick office, and generally the voice you will hear when you call us.

Vicki’s background is in small business management including several retail management and customer service positions. Vicki is originally from Missouri, but has lived in Colorado for over 20 years.
