2026 Lunch & Learn Training
Supporting the Next Generation of Welding Professionals
At WJMG, our goal is to support welders who have the drive, mindset, and personal commitment to advance their careers.
Through technical training and professional development, we help welders prepare to take on greater responsibility and accountability while producing quality welded products correctly the first time.
Continued education can equip welding professionals to pursue essential industry roles, including:

Available Training Programs
Nondestructive Testing (NDT) Program
The WJMG Nondestructive Testing Program introduces participants to several commonly used NDT methods. Visual Testing is required for all participants, followed by method-specific training throughout the week.
Classes require a minimum of four students and are limited to a maximum of 10 students.
CVWI/CWI Part B Preparation
Prepare for the practical portion of the Certified Visual Welding Inspector or Certified Welding Inspector examination. This focused course helps participants strengthen their understanding of visual inspection practices and prepare for the Part B exam.
Weekly NDT Training Schedule
Monday: Visual Testing
Visual Testing, or VT, is required for all class participants and provides the foundation for the remaining week’s instruction.
Tuesday: Penetrant Testing
Participants receive instruction in Penetrant Testing, or PT, and its use in detecting surface-breaking discontinuities.
Wednesday: Magnetic Particle Testing
Wednesday focuses on Magnetic Particle Testing, or MT, for evaluating applicable ferromagnetic materials.
Thursday: Ultrasonic Testing
Training covers Ultrasonic Testing, or UT, and Ultrasonic Thickness Testing, or UTT.
Friday: Advanced Testing and Interpretation
Friday’s instruction covers Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing, or PAUT, and Radiographic Testing report interpretation.
Saturday Training
Saturday training is available by appointment. Appointments must be scheduled at least one week in advance.
